Masayuki Hiramatsu was born in Nagoya and raised in Morimachi (Shizuoka Prefecture). He currently resides in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan.
His childhood dream was to enter the video game industry, and after graduating Toyo University (with a degree in Philosophy), he attended the Enix Game School (Digital Entertainment Academy) for one year. He then spent eight years as a game planner at Media Entertainment Inc., where he designed many titles including the "Manpuku!! Nabe Kazoku" series. He also assisted with the development of Sega's Shenume, as well as co-designed "WORLD CLUB Champion Football" with producer Junichi Tsuchiya. Afterwards, he left the game industry to take a year-long course at Tokyo Seishin Gakuen, where he gained licenses in cooking using medicinal herbs. He then spent about half-a-year as a chef. However, he was asked to return to the game industry by Cattle Call Inc., where he stayed for four years and worked on titles such as "Mushi King Super Collection" and a PS3 title. He left in December 2008, and is currently working as a freelance planner focusing on the iPhone/iPod Touch. |
